Funeral Pre-Planning
If you are worrying about your passing and how it may affect your loved ones, we recommend funeral pre-planning. Here you can essentially plan your own funeral to ensure your wishes are met and your loved ones have more time to focus on their emotions rather than making arrangements.
No one likes to think about their own death, not least talk about it with their loved ones, but this difficult process can make the eventual passing easier to deal with. By working with Eco Memorial Park to plan how you want your funeral to take place, you are ensuring that there is no guesswork on the part of your family. Our empathetic team will help you to develop any ideas you may have or guide you through our eco-friendly options, and ensure these get followed. This makes any funeral more personalised without the added timeframe and stress for the family.
One of the most difficult parts of a funeral is trying to ensure everything the way your loved one would have wanted it. Of course, you can spend hours deliberating over each decision and trying to work out how your loved one would prefer to be laid to rest. By using pre-funeral planning, this process becomes much easier. Or, if you personally are looking to take some pressure off your family in the event of your passing, pre-planning may be ideal for you. You can choose your own final resting place, the images that are to be displayed, and the style of plaque used, all whilst having the ability to pay for much of the service in advance.
Cremation Urns & Keepsakes
Eco Memorial Park offers a range of cremation urns and keepsake jewellery to beautifully preserve the memory of your loved one. Bio Urns, innovative modUrns, and bereavement bears are all available for purchase. If you’re unsure which option will suit your family’s needs, our experts can also help you choose the perfect urn or keepsake to meet your desires.
Cremation urns and keepsakes are popular because they provide the opportunity to take something special from the day to remember your loved one. We offer a range of cremation urns from traditional ceramic urns to eco-friendly wooden urns and scatter tubes.
Along with traditional urns, we also offer a range of beautiful keepsakes. These allow you to keep a symbolic amount of your loved ones’ ashes with you at all times. Options include memorial candle holders, memorial jewellery and abstract art pieces. Each is beautifully crafted and can be engraved with the name or initials of your loved one.
Wherever your loved one’s family and friends are located around the world, they can now attend the service via a live internet feed. At Eco Memorial Park, we offer you the ability to live stream your loved one’s funeral service on the Gold Coast for family members or friends who are unable to attend in person. The live broadcast is streamed securely through advanced internet technology, accessible only via a private link—so only trusted family and friends will have access to the service.
If desired, guests (both physical and virtual) can rewatch the service at a later date.
An eco-friendly outdoor funeral, abundant with natural beauty and a peaceful setting, is a meaningful way to honour the life of someone special who always loved being outdoors. Testimonials from our customers have praised our gardens, which offer a serene environment for memorialisation and remembrance. Outdoor funerals allow families to say goodbye to loved ones in an open and relaxed setting. And because an outdoor funeral means you don’t have to follow a traditional religious service you have more freedom to choose a secular funeral in keeping with your loved one’s final wishes.
You can choose from a traditional religious service, a secular service or create your own end-of-life ceremony from our extensive list of options. And because the service is held outside, there are no restrictions on the number of people who can attend. We can arrange gatherings from a handful of family members to hundreds of guests. At Eco Memorial Park we can help you to arrange an intimate and personalized outdoor funeral in one of our 18 beautiful memorial gardens. Each of our gardens is named after pioneering families or significant community members on the Gold Coast. We welcome families to tour each of our gardens to choose the one they feel is appropriate.
Options include the Brauer Garden, Walter T Hanen Garden and the Connoley Garden. Each garden contains a unique collection of native Australian plants that are specifically chosen to represent the strengths of the naming family. We also have a group of themed gardens including a tropical, rockery, water and walled garden to choose from. Read more about our outdoor funeral services, our beautiful memorial gardens or get in touch with us for any other queries you may have.
Family Gardens
Another option available at Eco Memorial Park is the purchase of a Family Garden. Choose an area that connects with you and reserve this for the future memorialisation of all your chosen family members. This way, you can all stay together at a place close to your heart.
Losing a loved one is a difficult time, but the peace of mind you get from knowing your memorialisation is taken care of in advance can take away one of these hardships. This offers a way for the whole family to agree on a meaningful memorial that will be there for future family members. Ownership of sites can be transferred within families for easy management. If you are interested in learning more about our Family Gardens, fill out our contact form or call our friendly team on 07 3807 4111 today.
Eco Memorial Park’s tours are interactive and informative, serving small groups. These tours are perfect for individuals, couples, families, community groups, special interest groups, seniors’ groups, and support organisations.
During the tour, you’ll discover answers to important questions and find out more about the cremation process, along with ways to reduce environmental impact. Connect with other interested visitors and learn practical things you can do to help the environment.
Columbarium Walls
Here at Eco Memorial Park, we have nine columbarium walls. These are used to store urns holding the ashes of the deceased. The niches that hold the urns are covered with plaques to securely protect the ashes. Six of our nine columbarium walls are on ground level and are available for use. The others are in the founders’ garden, a war grave memorial that commemorates past service members.
This is a unique option for storing ashes which ensures they stay safe while offering a beautiful area to reflect. If you are interested in finding out more about our columbarium walls or organising a visit to our gardens, fill out our contact form today or chat to our friendly team on 07 3807 4111.
Consider Eco Memorial Park for your funeral catering needs. We offer catering for guests who would like to gather, share stories, and enjoy light refreshments following the service. If guests have special dietary requirements, don’t fret—we’ll gladly cater to their needs. We are licensed too, so you can enjoy a drink and raise a toast to a friend or loved one.
Our eco-friendly waste management program focuses on recycling resources to help those who are less fortunate. If your loved one is to be buried with implants such as hip replacements, pacemakers, and braces, our implant recycling program is a fantastic way to help your loved one give back to the community even after they’re gone.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to plan a funeral?
If your loved one has pre-planned their funeral with us, it can take as little as a week for the funeral to take place. Opting for a simple package funeral can also reduce the amount of time it takes to plan. However, planning a more personal funeral service, or not knowing your loved one’s wishes following an unexpected death, can mean the process takes longer.
Our sensitive team is dedicated to helping make the funeral planning process as straightforward as possible while ensuring the details are right. While we cannot guarantee a timeframe, we can guarantee that we’ll help as much as we can to make it easier for you.
Can I see the memorial gardens before the funeral?
Yes, we offer a tour of our memorial gardens if you’re unsure if our Gold Coast memorial gardens are the best option for the funeral of your loved one. Our friendly team will tell you everything you need to know and guide you through our beautiful park with no obligation. You can get in contact with us today to organise a tour by calling 07 3807 4111 or by filling out our online form here.
Do you provide eco-friendly or green funeral services?
The natural burials that we offer involve placing the body in the ground in a way that means it will decompose naturally. The body will then fertilise the earth around it. Decomposition is not hindered by chemicals used to landscape a typical grave site or the materials of a coffin.
Our cremation equipment is run efficiently to reduce output emissions and we also utilise renewable energy via solar panels, rainwater systems, and recycling programs.
How much does a funeral cost?
In Australia, the average cost of a funeral is between $4,000 and $15,000. Financing a funeral can be a worry for many, but it’s possible to arrange a funeral on almost any budget. The price you pay usually depends on what elements you choose, including headstones, catering, flowers, order of service sheets, death notices and much more.
Contact us today on 07 3807 4111 or enquire online here and a member of our team will be happy to talk to you about our prices and finance options.
Do you offer a funeral catering service?
We can provide a private, undercover area for people to gather and celebrate the life of the deceased with complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits. While Eco Memorial Park do not offer funeral catering, we recommend Sugarant Catering for after funeral catering services.
Can you cater to my religion?
Yes, we can cater to all religions. Reach out to us by calling 07 3807 4111 or via our online enquiry form and our friendly team will listen to your requirements and do their best to organise a funeral that suits your faith. We have a chapel on-site and can make arrangements for non-denominational members of the clergy to lead the funeral or organise appropriate readings.
How does funeral live-streaming work?
Our funeral live streams are filmed using a high-quality camera in a discreet location and streamed via the internet. This is only accessible to people who have been given a personalised link to the event by the family of the deceased. You can contact us directly to request the personalised link where we will request approval from the family to share with you.
